Meet Rachel
Ph.D., Licensed Clinical Psychologist based in New York City.
Education and Training
In addition to being a born and bred New Yorker, I am a licensed clinical psychologist with years of experience treating patients in the New York City area. I received a B.S. in Human Development with a concentration in the Development of Social Personality and Behavior at Cornell University, and completed my doctoral degree at LIU Brooklyn — where my dissertation examined the effects of acculturative stress and the internalized thin-ideal on millennial Black and Latinx women.
I have trained across a wide range of outpatient and inpatient settings at major hospitals and clinics throughout New York City, gaining experience working with a diverse range of people — including childhood trauma survivors, veterans, first responders, undocumented individuals, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and emerging adults. That breadth of training shapes how I show up in the room: with a deep respect for the full range of human experience, and a genuine curiosity about yours.
Early in my training, I worked closely with individuals who had been failed by clinicians who weren't curious enough to ask why. That experience became the foundation of what I now call respectful curiosity — the belief that understanding someone's story, without judgment or assumption, is where real healing begins.
